China vs. Paraguay, Sept. 7th, Nanjing Olympic Stadium

Tuesday September 7th at 7:00 PM, the Chinese Men’s National Football Team will face off against Paraguay at Nanjing Olympic Stadium. Tickets are said to start at 60RMB with normal tickets at 120RMB and VIP tickets not to exceed 1000RMB. It’s even rumored that a certain Paraguay fan may be a VIP guest…
Looks like Paraguay is calling up a few of its big guns and isn’t taking the trip too lightly. China is also calling home many of its international players and will first face Iran on September 3rd in Zhengzhou.
New Metro Supermarket to open September 1st

Metro is by far my favorite place to shop, generally not too crowded, has a good range of imported wine, chesses, sour cream, etc. plus your normal stuff.
A new store will be opening Sept. 1st, much closer to those of us living downtown, it will be in the North West part of the city:

Things I like #002: Distingue Smokey Cheese Slices

This stuff is a pretty good choice if you need processed cheese slices (or are forced to make due in this cheeseless wasteland). Available in most grocery stores with 3 varieties, the dark blue one is regular flavor, light blue is the low fat and the orange one pictured has a real nice smoked flavor. The other two are pretty typical, but it’s the smoked that I get, makes great grilled cheese sandwiches!
